Murray Hill is one of Jacksonville's classic early-1900s streetcar neighborhoods, located just west of Riverside and a few minutes from Avondale. It's known for small, character-filled homes, front porches that actually get used, murals and local shops along the commercial corridor, and neighbors who know each other by name.

The neighborhood traces back to a 1906 subdivision built to house workers from the nearby Seaboard Air Line Railway shops, and was its own incorporated town before Jacksonville annexed it in 1925. Homes here range from Craftsman bungalows to Mediterranean Revival and Prairie-style cottages. Murray Hill also has the highest concentration of homes in Florida designed by Henrietta Cuttino Dozier, one of the state's first female architects.
